That's why St. Paul's PACE participants receive transportation from their home to our medical centers — easy and stress-free, without relying on public transit or driving themselves.

For those who can no longer drive, coordinating affordable transportation to and from doctor appointments can be challenging. That's why St. Paul's PACE participants receive transportation from their home to our medical centers, making it easy and stress-free for seniors to get the care they need without relying on public transit or driving themselves.
Do I Qualify?
Pickup, appointments, and outings.
Once you're enrolled in St. Paul's PACE, one of our drivers will pick you up from your home in the morning, bring you to your appointment site, and drive you home in the afternoon. While at the day center, you'll enjoy social activities and companionship while waiting for your appointments. In addition to medical visits, we also coordinate fun outings for PACE participants like field trips to the beach, Balboa Park, and other local attractions — be sure to check our event schedule so you can join in!

Our drivers recently earned a "Best Service Providers" award in a quality survey, and once you experience our service, you'll see why. Your PACE driver won't just wait at the curb — they'll greet you at your front door and assist you into the vehicle. If you use a wheelchair, our vehicles are equipped with secure, state-approved safety systems to keep you comfortable and safe.
We hire and train courteous drivers who understand the unique needs of seniors. All of our drivers have excellent records and go through a rigorous training program, so you can have peace of mind every time you travel.
If you need a medical service not available at our center (though most are provided on-site), St. Paul's PACE will arrange transportation to and from that appointment and even provide an escort when needed.
